Curing Type 2 Diabetes — New! At Last, Cure Diabetes Now

The medical Establishment will roll-over about the ever changing facts about curing diabetes. It has deluded itself for decades, but new scientific research has changed the landscape. The promoted diet for preventing diabetes has been the low-fat diet. That diet failed to work — for anything:

* obesity rates continued to climb with more than 70% of the population overweight

* people became fatter at an ever-quickening pace

* no one connected the dots to see that it’s actually carbohydrates that cause diabetes

Wow, cholesterol and fat were not the cause of diabetes. That’s what I’m telling you. The research is just now coming in and the story is that it always was our much-loved carbohydrates that were doing the damage. And just not sugar, but fruits, and grains, and many vegetables. The low-fat dogma blinded otherwise brilliant people and blinded them.

How did it turn out that fat got blamed? There was one major bogus study published in 1953 that implicated fat and then that idea steam-rolled everyone and became the entrenched dogma. It’s still believed here in 2009. But… fat was not the culprit and the evidence began to shake out by the mid-1980’s that it was blood glucose arising from carbohydrates that was the villain.

Do these new insights rock you? The public has been blind-sided because no one took the time to go to the medical library and do a little research. That would have shown that by 1950 the biochemists knew that the body converts carbohydrates to fat and the fat we eat does not become the fat in and on our bodies.

Since 2002, new, young researchers really looked into the low-carb diet. What did they find:

* fast reduction in body weight and body fat

* dramatic stabilization and lowering of blood sugar

* fat levels in the blood dropped because of low-carb eating

* low-carb simply whipped low-fat!

The low-carb or carb-restricted diet will help diabetics dramatically improve their health. And it works fast because your metabolic systems begin to change in as little as six hours. Your body switches very quickly into a fat-burning mode and decreases its reliance on blood sugar as a source of fuel.

Syndrome X, also known as Metabolic Syndrome, is a constellation of symptoms indicating serious disturbances in health:

* too much body fat, overweight, and obesity

* blood sugar abnormalities that lead to diabetes

* cardiovascular disease

* elevated blood pressure

Current research suggests that a carbohydrate-reduced diet may be the first and most effective choice for patients with Metabolic Syndrome and diabetes. If you are normal but suffer from these symptoms, then reducing carbohydrates is the only effective non-pharmacological choice.

Low-fat was never proven to be healthful and low-carb was shown to be a great health improver. Unfortunately, no one read this research completed during the last 50 years of the 20th century. Claims were just made about the dangers of eating diets higher in fat (although followers of the low-carb diet actually don’t eat more fat).

A low-carbohydrate diet is part of our human heritage. Eating lots of carbs is a very recent change in eating habits and it was a mistake to go down this road. Let’s follow a properly designed low-carb diet. Dr. Atkins’s is poorly designed and most people fail in using it. The South Beach Diet isn’t a low-carb diet and works poorly as well.
